What is a project? Projects are all around us, we have been doing projects since time immemorial. Unknowingly, we’ve been able to work on projects as a team or even as a single person. During our school days, we worked on different projects. But do we really know what a project means, to be honest, when I was still studying, projects to me before are just assigned responsibilities that we need to finish on time.

According to PMBOK 4th Ed., a Project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service or result.

A project is something that has a target outcome, a definite time span, and has constrain on time, costs and scope. Projects should not run through indefinitely. This simply means that a project should have a start, middle and end.

Now that we have an idea of what a project is, we will divulge deeper and discuss more on project management in the upcoming articles. From tools to personal experience, I’ll try to share a lot and hope we continue this journey in sharing tips to better handling of projects.
